What I am Thankful For

As Thanksgiving approaches I find myself reflecting on all the things I am thankful for. I have so much to be thankful for that it would be impossible to list everything. In the spirit of Thanksgiving here are just a few of the many things I am thankful for...And yes, it may be a bit sappy but I felt it needed to be said.

*A wonderful Father in Heaven who had a greater plan for my life than I ever thought possible. I know it was his plan for Scott & I to meet and be together and have a family and I continue to feel his blessings in my life.

*I am so thankful to my husband for everything...from being a great provider, to being the father of my children, to being my voice of reason, and frankly for just putting up with me! I love him so much even if I don't say it as much as I should.

*I am so grateful for healthy, happy children. I love each of them and they each bring immeasurable amounts of joy to my life.

*I am thankful for two sisters who are truly the wind beneath my wings. Where would I be without my sisters?

*I am so thankful for having two wonderful parents who molded me into the adult I am today. It's such a comforting feeling knowing your parents will always be there for you...I am grateful that I was born to them.

*I am thankful for having a mother in law that I am close to and that does so much to help us out. I wonder if she realizes how much we appreciate all that she does to help us out.

*I am thankful for two wonderful Grandparents. They are two of the most loving and genuine people I have ever known.

*I am thankful for a sister in law that is so sweet and such a great example to me and a brother in law that has always been so easy to talk to and makes me laugh every time I am around him.

*And last, but certainly not least, my 2 bro's. I have such a great relationship with my brothers.

And I am also thankful to have such a wonderful extended family of great aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends.

Croup

Well we had a scare about a week and a half ago. Addy ended up getting croup. It was pretty scary. I went to check in on her one night and she was burning up and was having a hard time breathing. She had this terrible cough. I took her right in to Urgent Care and they tested her for the flu. They said she had croup and another ear infection. They put her on an oral steroid and an antibiotic. She was miserable for a couple days but is doing a lot better now. Here's a picture of our poor baby girl sick with croup...

Such a sad picture so I had to add some happy one's...

What do we have here?

BUSTED...caught red handed

She's such a cutie!! She has recently been saying, "Dadda" and "Mama". She is also crawling everywhere. She loves if you help her stand. I'm sure she'll be standing in no time. I keep trying to get her to slow down a little bit!

Addy is Pulling Up

The other day Scott was watching Addy and she just started to pull herself up. She doesn't pull herself up to a standing position yet ...although I am sure that's next to come but he found her like this. She was cracking up and smiling at him like, "Look at me Dad." I saw her and had to get down and kiss her little cheeks off. She has been doing the cutest little army crawl and saying, "Da Da Dadda." Love this girl!

One of my favorite pictures!

Halloween '09

Ahh, Halloween 2009...was such a great day! I don't know who had more fun Logan or me! I just LOVE watching the kids enjoy the holiday! Justin dressed up as a SCARY clown and went out with his girlfriend Katelyn Trick or Treating. Logan dressed up as Thomas the Train and Addison was a little fairy and JD was Lightening McQueen.

Nana came over dressed up as a witch. Steph, JD, Frank, and Rob came over. We all went Trick or Treating. Then we came back and had lasagna, garlic bread, and brownies. Logan kept saying, "Choo Choo," and "I'm having sooo much fun," while JD was saying, "Kachow." It was a great day!

Halloween Carnival

Logan & I were lucky enough to get to go to JD's school's carnival. It was so much fun! JD & Logan got to dig in rice to find spiders, decorate sugar cookies, eat lots of candy, play, and see the horse outside. JD & Logan were so cute...they just walked hand in hand all night. I even had sooo much fun!

Justin's Sophomore Football Year

Justin just completed his Sophomore Football year. He had a wonderful season. It was so much fun going out to see his games. He had daily practice which was three to four hours long. He loved it! He would come home so tired and so hungry.

On the 3rd to last game of the season Justin got hurt. It was pretty scary. Nana ended up having to take him to the ER. He ended up having a concussion which put him out of football for the remaining two games. We are so proud of him for playing football and doing such a great job! He was lucky #36!

What we've been up to

Where are we now? Let's see...

Ahh yes...Addison & Logan. They have a great relationship so far. I was very relieved because I had heard that sometimes there is a lot of jealousy with the older child. But we haven't experienced that luckily. Logan loves Addison and she loves him. One of his favorite things to do is to run into her room when she gets up from a nap. He often runs up the stairs before I even have a chance to. He'll run into her room and tell her "good morning". She'll just smile and laugh at him. I love watching their relationship grow!

Excuse the cheddar Cheetos's from around his face. Currently Logan is 2 and a half years old. He is our little sponge. He is learning so much everyday. He loves to talk and gets very frustrated if you don't understand what he is saying. He still loves mommy, daddy, Justin, and Addison best. He loves to run and jump and never seems to run out of energy. OH and one of the best parts is he is sooo polite...this kid even tells me "THANK YOU" for changing his diaper...who does that? Isn't that cute?

Here is our sweet baby Addy. She is now 6 months old. How the time flies. She came through her ear tube surgery wonderfully. She is such a happy, go lucky baby. We just adore her. She has been rolling over for about 2 months. She has just started scooting backwards. She manages to get all around our living room. Soon she'll be sitting up and crawling. We started her on solids a couple weeks ago. And she broke through her first two teeth about 2 weeks ago.

Look at this stud...Justin! Justin is now a Sophomore in High School. Wow, that makes us feel old. He plays football at school which he loves. He is great at it. And more than anything he loves hanging out with his friends. Justin is very popular with the ladies and has had a girlfriend for several months. Him and Logan have a wonderful relationship. In fact, when he isn't here Logan will often say, "Lolo's sad," and when I ask him why he is sad he says, "Cuz I miss Justin."

And that about sums it up.

Scott & I are just enjoying this wonderful life that we are building together. We just enjoy doing the day to day things. On today's agenda...putting together Logan's big boy bed rail, bribing Logan to let us cut his hair, Scott playing Xbox, me hopefully getting a nap when the kids go down, then putting the kids to bed and enjoying a nice dinner and movie just Scott and I.
